I am considering a 2/2 drop for my 2009 standard cab. I am thinking of flipping the rear shackles, going with 2" front springs (probably DJM), and lowered shocks all around. I live in SE Michigan and drive daily in Detroit for work...which means I drive on some of the worst roads in the nation
First, which lowered shocks give a decent ride? And does a mild lowering like this really hurt the ride quality? The stock front springs are so soft that I think that slightly stiffer springs would actually improve the ride.
Oh, and one other question; is there enough adjustment in the front suspension for aligning with a 2" drop, or will I need to get different adjusting hardware (not sure if it uses bushings, eccentric bolts, shims, etc. I have not really looked into it yet)?
