so my truck is running a bit funny.
when it is cold it is having problems idling
it idles at about 600-650 rpms normally.
when it is cold my air/fuel ratio gauge stays at rich
when i take off it hesitates to go, then i floor it and
it launches without a problem.
i could be suspecting a vacuum leak for the idling
problem due to alot of vacuum stuff going on latley.
lmk wut u guys think

Forgot to add that when it is cold and idling it will idle
funny for a minute then it will just die. it doesnt really do that when its warm
but now when im driving it idles at 2,000 rpms for a minute then idles back to normal. not sure if that normal since it never did that before.
idling, it has a steady 15-20hg Vacuum.

ok umm. i think i may have found the problem.
when the truck is idling bad, i went and unplugged
my mass air flow (MAF) and the truck started to idle
fine again. it didnt run very well while driving but it idled
fine. so do you think a dirty MAF could be the problem?

im going to the junk yard to get one and see what happens.

that sounds like the maf is working fine. i dont think thats the problem.

that sounds more like an IAC (idle air control) valve.

Automatic
unbolt it and clean it up with carb spray and clean the throttle while your at it, bolt it back up and see how it runs. Mine did this when I first bought it and this fixed it.
