I don't get stuck much but when I do I make sure it's a good one.

This is kind of a long video of the recovery, skip to the last 30 seconds for the good part.

Then I turned around and pulled him out a little later

in all my retarded wisdom i thought itd be a good idea to offroad on a frozen lake. it was fun, till i decided to leave... wanted to whip another donut, and as i was etching forward i heard cracking...so i stopped dead in my tracks. realized, ok...if bad stuff can happen, it usually does to me...just leave. instead of reverse, i tried pulling forward to make turn around, and got a few feet before my front end broke through the ice...whole shelf collapsed. luckily, it was sludge instead of water....this is the only pic i took, i was shitting bricks because i was in middle of nowhere and it was new years eve...

so, i eventually got a tow truck to come out and winch me out for 400 bucks, he almost got stuck himself lol. before my truck got out the shelf it was sitting on gave out more and i was about headlights deep with my rear tires on top of the ice and my truck pointed about 45 degrees down. so now i learned frozen lakes arent always the best for offroading...

not stuck but it did die and wouldn't start so we had to push it out...

I haven't ever been in a situation where i couldn't have gotten out of... not that i don't wheel hard enough. i just don't like being on the being pulled end of a tow strap, don't trust anyone i know to pull me out of anything without busting my sh!t

I was stuck when my truck had nothing but a trusty roll bar which did not help at all.

I hear those stick on hood scoops add a lot of torque, I'm surprised you couldn't get out of that!

lmfao.

i havent had a ranger yet. and i have no truck right now. but this was the last stuck in my old baby. my 81 Bronco... 351/400m. craptastic IFS, 5" of lift and 35" Shitty BFG all terrains....

first hole of the day.. i was to hesitant. and shortly found out the ruts ended. no momentum = FAIL

dont feel like typing out the whole story regardless how epic and full of FAIL it was.... im just gonna tell yall to avoid Retention ponds..... especially when your skipping school, alone by yourself, do not have a cell phone, do not have a winch, miles from home, its 90degrees outside and your stranded for hours on end without water..... that day sucked balls. spent hours trying to get out. lugging 50lb rocks back and forth trying to get traction. broke a pos come a long in process with over 100ft of straps and chain over a hill tied to a tree, and had to cut on of hte straps in half to relieve the stress on it. yay yay. ended up walking home, and friends dad came by later and yanked that bitch out with the POWERSTROKE. hellllls yeaa... ohhhh AND choose your approach angle wisely

ahhhh dam you all, i miss it so bad... even tho it only got 5mpg
