Here is a picture of the drop bracket on the front of my 94 SC ranger.

It appears the axle pivot points are sitting too low. The axles are headed at an upwards angle to the hubs.

Do I need to just raise the coils (longer springs and/or spacers) till I get the pivot points above the hubs to align the shafts? What size bracket is that? stock? 4"? 6"? I have a pair of 4" lift coils and just "eyeballing" seems to be the size of the coil in there (if I estimate the coil unsprung). If it appears to be 4" bracket, I'll go ahead and swap, if not I would rather go an exchange them.

What angle should the shafts have to hubs?

This truck also has a 3" BL on it which seems to have led to the destruction of the steering shaft. It has broken the housing(?) at the firewall and was pulling up on the steering box. If I just remove the BL and replace the shaft, do I need to replace that housing at the firewall or is that all one unit?

Just from the one pic it looks like you have a 6" drop bracket and 4" coils.. Your coils might be sagging, one option is getting leveling spacers below your springs. Your axle should be straight not pointing up to the hubs.

My bet would be sagging coils. Your axle should look like this....

I use the bottom mounting holes on my brackets (even though it said to use the upper ones). When we tried to use the upper ones it set the tires at \ / angles.
