Looking to save for a set of rims for the 93 I just picked up, I looked at the info page posted on this site, and it was a lot of help, but I'ms till slightly confused, and was hoping someone could check my math, so I know if I shouldn't order these when I get the money. The truck is a 2wd and stock height if it matters, here are the specs.

Diameter: 17 inch
Width: 9 inch
Finish: Anthracite
Lugs: 5
Offset: +24 mm.
Backspacing: 5.95 in.
Bolt Circle: 4.5 in.

I'm assuming I'd have to use wheel spacers, so can someone tell me what size I would need for a good fit? Thanks - Alex

Here is a page, it may be the one you looked at already but other readers may find the info handy;
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/wheel_fitment.html
I think that this is one of those areas that you have to physically check the fitment with a tire mounted on the rim and then determine how much if any spacers are needed. However I'm no expert.
Good luck,

Richard
Edit; I think stock rims have a 3 3/4" backspace on a 6" rim. 6"/3.75 = 9"/5.6 A 6' backspace is close to the same ratio but I think tire rubbing issues will make a spacer required. Maybe an inch, maybe more. [lots of help....I know, I know ;) ]

If you are buying new rims you need to have the shop get you the correct wheels to fit your truck. Never second guess. You can damage the wheels or the suspension. Get the correct wheels the first time and you won’t waste time and aggravation.

Factory 7" width Ranger wheels have 4.5" backspace.
Factory 6" width Ranger wheels have 4" backspace.

Both have +12mm offset.

Your offset is only about a 1/2-inch off, but combined with the backspace.....

I'm gonna agree with allwaysFlOoReD, one-inch spacer

Sounds like pretty standard Mustang wheel specs. Those may fit fine without any spacer, some may require a small spacer to clear the dust cap.

Straycat, I understand what you are saying. Unfortunately not all wheels are made with specs for all vehicles.

This. They are, but are aftermarket, which I think are wider than the stock mustang rims, which is part of the reason I asked for opinions. Thanks for the input guys. We'll see how everything goes when I (eventually) get there.
