I've always liked the old Rangers and when the Altima I had been forcing to stay alive was finally died I got a 1998 Ranger XLT. I really only knew about cars from fighting to keep the Alima alive and have been really excited to learn about cars from a truck worth knowing about. These articles and posts on here have already helped a lot so I figured I'd actually sign up and say hello.

1998 Ranger was a new Generation, 1998-2011(3rd or 4th Gen, depends on who you ask, lol)

3 engine options in 1998, 2.5l 4cyl, 3.0l Vulcan V6, 4.0l OHV V6
4cyl and 3.0l used the 4R44E automatic
4.0l OHV the 5R55E automatic(Ranger got 4.0l SOHC engine in 2001)

Sharp truck! It is the best year too. I may be biased...

Hope you don't rely on the Key Bridge. That was a shocker.

Thanks! Yeah the bridge being gone is wild. I didn't drive over it much personally, but looking at it being gone with your own eyes is indescribable. It looks like part of the sky is missing.

Yeah I can't believe that it's gone. I haven’t been over it in years but was frequently in the area around route 10, Ordinance Rd and Glen Burnie.
