Well.
Turns out that the way I had to install my engine trans combo, I still had to move the tranny crossmember and mount 6" forward.
Because of the way the frame is I couldn't move it that far so I fanned a mount plate out of 1/4" plate steel, bolted the mount to it and the trans then bolted the plate to the cross member. Then to ensure if something bad was to happen it would be really really bad, I welded the plate to the cross member as well.
Because of the leverage of the trans on the plate, it causes a little flex in the cross member rotating forward. Should I reinforce the plate?
Is there anything you can think I should have or didn't do?
