The banner has only been out and about technically for about a month now if that and its already travelled close to a 1000 miles and seen 4 members in 2 towns. Better then the last one i believe. Its no cakewalk to just pick up and drive this thing to the next member. Alaska spans like a 1/3 of the rest of the US and with very few members up here and even fewer towns and more expensive gas its quite difficult. Gas just jumped to 5 bucks a gallon ontop of it here.

Over a 1000 and over 2000 after this weekend, then another 1000 rounding out to the boarder. Caitlyn and Nick still have my vote for ultimate meet n greet in middle/bush Alaska. Badass stuff there...

So next month I work the the 2nd and 23rd, also there is the Canada Day weekend.

I have booked July 14-21 off. The plan is to head to BC with the GF. If its done its trip through BC by then I can bring it back to Calgary with me.

Cool. That gives us time. If MtnMike and I can arrange a time to get together in Tok/Northway, I'll get it handed off. Weather and schedule permiting, in the next few weeks. I have the banner back and am flying it out ot Kinnecott/McCarthy/Cordova this weekend for some scenery/history shots. We are planning to get one or two more Anchorage guys to sign and then it will be ready to travel!

Kirk, it's gotta go TO Vancouver from Calgary... There's really no logistical way for it to get to Vancouver any other way... Additionally, nowhere to go from here but back north through Edmonton, then where? Back to Alaska? As terrible as it sounds, from northern bc, into northern Alberta, then southern Alberta, then southern bc, then the land of the *sigh* yankee doodles...

I couldnt not... so when I got the banner back from Caitlyn (AK907girl) I passed the banner back to Jeff (crbnunit) for what I believe will be an amazing pictorial flight. Reckon they are in Cordova as I post and hope they had the big fat bacon cheeseburger n beer at my friend Chis's while in McCarthy.
