Btw, DangerRanger91 and I have spent half of today talking about where to meet.

The only thing we don't know yet is, who's taking it after him???

Iowans, REPRESENT YOURSELVES!
Spent half a day? You sound like my buddies...

"What do you wanna do today?"
"Nothing. You."
"I dunno. Maybe go to the movies."
"Movies? Ok. Also, there's the racetrack."
"Yea. There's a race track. When?"
"Dur.... *shrugs* ...Whenever."

Insane & 85_Ranger...what happened to UrbanRedneckKid in Kansas City, MO ?? He's a very active member, and probably isn't up to date with the Banner at this point. I'm sure that will make your travel distances shorter.

Then again, Insane can pass it off to chknfkr or Ranger44 or Twizzler09 in Illinois. Then it has 85_Ranger lined up afterwards.

Then AGAIN, it's not moving west at all. So... :bawling:

And WTF is an Iowan? lol Is that really what y'all call yourselves?

What do I have to do to be the guy to dip it in the Pacific?
How bad is your gag reflex?

When I said zig-zag, I meant in order to progress forward.
Yea yea. Understood. The travel from I-10 over to New Mexico is at least a 22 hour round trip. People were available further north. *shrugs* It's progress.

There is no deadline for it's arrival, afterall. It's the longest TRS event to date. Colorado may finally be ready after all this, too.

No, we call ourselves perfect. :icon_thumby:

But yeah, Iowan is a common term for what everyone else calls us.

The only way it is going to get across the US quickly is if someone actually sets a course for it. Otherwise it is just going to bounce around and slowly work its way there like it has been.

If it is quicker for it to get across the country without me I am fine with it.

We have been just trying to find a place to meet up and at what time.

Once we have the things finalized I planned on trying to contact urban and see if he can make the meet too or I could meet up with him another day and pass the banner on to him, if that doesnt work out I guess ill be passing the banner on to 85_Ranger myself lol.

Hey 85_Ranger4x4, could you set up a way for the banner to get across Nebraska along I-80?

I-80 or I-70 is going to be the shortest drive for one or two members to get it from here to Colorado. Other than that, it may have to be mailed...

AgPete, you're hilarious. If I'm ever in Houston, I'll buy you a drink just so we can shoot the bull.

If you factor in the curvature of the earth, the banner is closer to the west coast being in Missouri than it was in Texas. PROGRESS!

ram3736 in Bellevue, you have a PM.

The drive across Nebraska on I-80 is anything but short, kills the better part of a day one way... I will check tonight and see if anyone is between here and there that might be able to help, if not I think it will probably get mailed.

Damn. Touche.

You win that round, so here's your prize: a Mini Cooper.

Jim, the man's got a point. A situation is always dependent upon it's parameters.

Consider it done, under one exception. You are in my 'hood...I buy YOU the beer.

it's getting better.

If us Young Bloods could shut off our brains like you and simply drive until the bright red gas light tells us to fill up again, we'd be set, too!

ALSO, on another note, while doing a search, I found this. It's hilarious, despite the fact that it's a Ranger.

I'm glad I remembered that stuff from 4th grade. Hooray for Mrs Speer!

I drink any and all flavors of Sam Adams. They're expensive compared to other beers, but I drink for enjoyment and not to get plastered.

If someone (or two) would be down for sharing costs, I'd meet up with someone in Kansas City and carpool the banner to Colorado... It's only fitting that the banner make it by way of member vehicle, rather than that USPS truck.

I LAUGHED my ass OFF at EVERY single one of these statements too!!!

ram3736 in Omaha replied he would be willing to make the trip if he gets enough warning to plan ahead for it.

Tell him that he's got (I'm guessing) two weeks or so to plan for it. Once I get it to the KC guys this weekend, it's up to them to see how and when it gets to Omaha and you.

I'd be able to do the trip myself on the week of Thanksgiving...

The ONLY geographical fact I ever learned in school was a stupid jingle about the Prime Meridian, lattitude, & longitude. While standing, the singing activity involed a shimmy/shake, a hula hooping motion with the hips, and pretending to jack off a walrus vertically, respectively.

Other than that, everything was learned from Channel 13 News, a globe, and too much time being my Asian father's son.

No UPS truck! Unless, of course, you work for UPS. In which case, "what can Brown do for you?"

I can think of a couple things.

Tried the Sam Adams Utopia? 27% ABV? Crazzzzzzzy... I'm a follower of Sam Adams myself. I was disappointed when I had their Chocolate Stout a couple of years back...

I'm a huge fan of stouts and bocks, and wheat beers shortly follow suit. I can do without IPA's, however. All time favorite brew is Maredsous 10, a Belgian abbey that's absolutely wonderful, rich, and smooth. 10% abv tripel fermented...but, a friend of mine said it tastes like tar to him. *shrugs* What does he know? He only drinks Miller.

AgPete, I try out every kind of Sam I run across in stores. I haven't seen a place that has the Utopia that you mentioned. I've noticed one place around here has the Sam Adams Imperial Stout. I'm going to be getting that stuff next time I'm there.

BigJohn, talk to the guys in Iowa and find out what's going to happen with the banner there. It may end up your way... Who knows.
