Is there any way to find out what the truck came with (how equipped/what options) from the factory by the VIN #?

I wish I still had the phone number, but I called Ford and asked for a "History 999" report. I did this for the 1987 Mustang and the 1995 Ranger vehicles I onced owned.

any dealer can print you out an rpo code sheet.

Fyi:

Bein a 97, it's doubtful, as FORD only goes back bout 10yrs......lately we've been havin problems bring up info on 98 & 99 model vehicles since the turn of the new year.

If you IM me the VIN, I'll see if I can find anythin, but don't get your hopes up.
