I’ve been dealing with RCI to figure out if their 21+ Bronco rear diff skid plate will work on the Ranger diff. We came to the conclusion of… let’s just try it. They’ve got one on its way to me.
I also ordered the full set of skid plates:
Engine, trans, transfer case, cat guards, and fuel tank.
Hey I would be interested in your oem tremor skids. I've got a few friends running the rough country read diff skid. Think it's made for a Jeep but share the same rear diff.

I’ll let you know what I’m going to do with them when I install the RCI ones. They came in today, hopefully I get a nice day one of these weekends to install them.

Filled it with ethanol-free gas for the first time. 90 octane. I do one more tank after this and see how the mpg does.
Regional convenience store chain I use added ethanol-free at a remodeled location.
@sgtsandman that's the Sheetz in Baden on Rt. 65. $3.67. Cheapest gas around, all grades are on sale for the grand re-opening.

Why do they always have to be in the biggest pain the butt to get to? It's all well and good if you are on that side of the river but there is no way to make it a "on the way home or on the way to work kind" kind of trip. It's bad enough that there is usually a difference in price on that side of the river as it is. It's still the same dang county!

Eh, Ambridge-Aliquippa bridge and work it in with a trip to the Baden Walmart or dinner at the Ambridge Italian Villa. I'll never steer you wrong when it comes to food. Little hole-in-the-wall place near the high school but the food is off the hook and not expensive.

Mine breaks the rear tires loose at 35 mph when the boost gets spooled up. :)
I told you to get some new tires with some tread on them!

Oil change and I finally installed my FUMOTO Oil Valve.

For those interested, assuming the 2019-2023 oil pans are the same you'll need the FUMOTO F107SX model.

I worry about it opening while I'm driving. Any chance of that?
Do you still have to remove the skidplate if you have the Fumoto valve?

Due to the design, no way that petcock valve opens by itself. There is a lever you have to depress against a spring, then rotate that lever. I've used these FUMOTOs on every car I've owned for the last 25 years. Never had one open unintentionally.

Yes, skid plate still comes off.

Changed the oil in 12* wind chill, truck pulled halfway into an unheated garage to work on it, and my left knee is 8 weeks old.
That which does not kill me makes me stronger.

To add to what CMOS said, the actuating lever seats into a notch in the valve housing. So, there is mechanical retention as well as spring tension that holds the valve closed.
