i just replaced my throttle body on my 2.9 and there should be a thin tube, not sure where it goes but it will just slide up onto it. if you engine is running fine i wouldn't really worry about it.

Looks like the fitting for the hose from the charcoal canister behind the left headlight.

Thanks for the info guys. I'v had several opinions that this leads to the carbon can,so that must be it.

Thats Interesting.....

Mine is hooked to some sort of electronic thing thats bolted to a bracket on the front of the TB. I'll try and post up a pic of it when I get home. Cant say mine is running fine the way it is.....shuts itself off randomly. Been that way since I been tinkering with it.

DifferentialPressureFeedbackExhaust the dpfe sensor its a emission component to monitor egr flow. the main problem with these are moisture contamination, and exhaust heat will be the death of the sensor, it corrodes the sensor inside and destroys the seals around the pressure sensing ceramic disc. i think it usually springs a EGR valve excessive flow code PO402. voltage shud be around .9v +_ a few...if not its out of range.

This is not an obdII equipped vehicle, nor does it have a DPFE sensor. if it's an 86-87 2.9 it will have an EGR pressure transducer. The connection in question is the line from the charcoal canister.
