What wire needs to be powered in ignition harness to complete turn signal/brake circuit?

Just wired a push to start in my ranger, all run functions seem to work except turn signals and brake lights. Which wire do I need to be focused on to complete that circuit?

1990 2wd 5 speed converted

Welcome to TRS :)

So push button start?

And no security, so no key on/off?
What will keep battery from draining if ignition is on all the time?
Is it just a toggle switch and 2 or 3 relays?

Brake lights have power all the time normally so were never on the Key/ignition circuit

Turn signals were but not 4-way flashers, so 4-ways should still work
You will need to power the separate turn signal flasher

In cab fuse box fuse 5 is for the turn signals, and fuse 4 the 4-ways and brake lights(this one should have full time 12v already)

see diagram

Both fuses need full time power/12v, and these won't drain the battery unless lights are used

I am using the Navatlas PTS1 kit, so I have key fobs for security and the ignition is switched via the controller box. My hazards do still work, I have wired all signals and tail/brake lights to my chase bar(see picture) which was working before my push start endeavor. lol So if my fuses are good, I just need to introduce switch 12v to the input wire to fuse #5?

Thank you for your response

Edit: also battery disconnect is used every time the truck is parked

Yes, if fuse box was moved over then fuse 5 having 12v would enable turn signals

Fuse 4 powered brake lights as well so if 4-ways are working then a wire is not connected
Brake light switch should have 12v all the time so easy to add a 10amp inline fuse to get that switch working, if you can't tie it in to fuse 4 circuit

Okay, turn signals working, introduced 12v switched like we talked about, my original diag of brake lights not working was incorrect, the true issue is they are stuck on when ignition is on. When ignition is off they work as they should.

Then a key on 12v wire is touching the brake light wire somewhere from the switch OUT, to the brake lights

Hopefully this will be the last dumb question I ask. I don't think I am picking up power due to a broken wire, because this was not an issue until I added push to start. When I power the red/green wire on the ignition switch (either of them) with switched 12v the fuel pump and ignition circuit seem to power up, but at the same time so do my brake lights, I'm just trying to make this make sense in my head.

Red/light green wire should have no connection to any exterior lights

It only powers engine systems
It turns on the EEC Relay, EEC Relay powers EEC(computer), fuel injectors and Fuel pump relay(not fuel pump)
Red/green wire also powers spark system

Do this, unplug EEC relay then power up the system, see if brake lights come on
If so then problem is on the red/green wire some where

If no brake lights then problem is on the EEC Relay wiring, the RED wires in the engine bay
Plug back in EEC Relay and see if brake lights come on to confirm

Just as a heads up
Ford did use a Light Green/Red wire for 12v to brake light switch............so dyslexic wiring issue, lol
Red/green engine systems
Green/red brake lights

Out to brake lights should be light green wire, no stripe
