Not a ranger, but I've a vehicle that's had some good blow by for awhile, finally bought a compression tester.
115, 100, 100, 125 psi on the cylinders.
Doesn't knock or burn oil, I don't think it's immediately necessary, buy it is starting to struggle starting.
It's a 2.4L Honda i-VTEC with 143k.
Is it due for a rebuild? Or does it have maybe a few more years?
