I played first chair trumpet through high school... marching band... solo an ensemble. We even had a trumpet trio that got invited to several places... even did Christmas carrols at local malls.

Sadly... when I got a taste of women and gasoline powered toys... I quit playing. I doubt I have the wind to do it any longer.

I did buy a Gibson Acustic and started learning hoping my daughter would take interest in it. She did for a minute... until I found out she pawned it for weed and a sack of McDonald's. Never even thought about replacing it.

My hopes for myself was to learn to strum a bit and use it around the campfire.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
I played drums regularly from 74 until 82-3 and very sporadically for years after. Last summer I gave my oldest graandson my drums and he's giving them a workout. My brother in law and friend I used to play with taught me a few guitar licks that are long forgotten, the opening lines of Dream On with all those hammer ons won't work with arthritis.

I started taking piano lessons at 15. Shortly after switched to bass. Played both electric and upright for years. Really ma8nly an excuse to get together with some buddies and drink beer haha. After Zane was born I quit the band and focused on raising a family. I haven't picked it up in years. I still have my first bass. And an acoustic guitar my brother gave me. Just can't seem to part ways with either. Thought one of my kids may show interest one day.

Another trumpet player here. I made it to second chair in Jr high. Still have it but it's so long since I have played it I don't remember the notes/ valve sequence anymore.

I too am surprised that no one has brought a guitar to the trailrides

I played electric bass in the 60s and 70s. I was with a band for a while in high school. I played with friends after that. I still have the guitar, but the amp was gone long ago. I have thought about getting another amp and getting my rusty fingers loosened up. I may do it someday but amped bass travels so far and I don't like disturbing the neighborhood.

Guitar and some Bass. I'm currently the lead singer for a local band here in NY called White Room. Here's a video of us doing Love Rein on Me by The Who. I'm known locally as the shoe-less singer. That's my stamp here.
😂😀😂
