Here is the deal. My hatch has wiper/washer, power lock, and defrost options.

Now I don't have the defrost ano more and I need to know what wire's control this. reason being instead of running new wires for a couple light accessories I would like to use the existing wires for the defrost since I no longer use it since I have the opening glass.

Need to know if the defrost is a 1 wire or multiple wire setup.

reason for the lights is one will be a highmount 3rd brake light and the other will be the liscence plate lamp.

Haynes manual has nothing for the hatch other than I know the Pnk/O and Pnk/Bl are for the power lock.

My Chilton manual was eaten by one of my dog's back when I did the 2.9L conversion on a buddies ranger.

I can always probe them but it would be so much easier with a wire diagram.

Pulling wires through the hatch will be a PITA. Also running new wires to the back would mean I'd have to pull the interior. rather not if I don't have to.

Anyone?

My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
It's one wire to the back- a Gray/Yellow. The schematic shows the switch as having a timer and relay built in. The Gray/Yellow wire runs to the back in the harness on the passenger side. Sorry that it's only a 1-wire deal, and hope this helps.
