2012 Arctic Man Ski, Snowboard, and Snowmachine Classic just north of Summit and Paxson Lake, Alaska.

The main event is the ski and snowboard race. Skiiers and snowboarders drop down a 5,000 foot steap mountain called the Tit. At the bottom they hook up with a snowmachiner partner who drags them at roughly 60-80 MPH up the second mountain (the other Tit) and this picture is near the end of the race where the skiiers and snowboarders fly over the top of the second Tit.

Josh and I carving in the pow pow! He wouldn't let me bring my sled because it's old. Got some sweet Go Pro footage though!!

This is my wonder boyfriend!! Making me a hot dog! :icon_thumby:

I successfully put 1,000 miles on my truck in less than a month! Pro.

I was a good underaged snowmachiner, and I didn't drink...... a lot. But next year... ALL HELL SHALL BREAK LOOSE! I've already got sponsors and a list of people who are stoked to buy me some drinks.

Ewe... Arctic Craps. lol JK! That's good. Go hard or Go home! My boyfriend got back to Fairbanks from Arctic Man and ended up in the hospital with a torn ACL and a fractured rib and possibly a fracture vertibre. I got sun burnt on my face soo bad it was almost second degree sun burn.

Nice. I barely put 5000 on mine last year.

But then with the engine swap having it down for a month and only driving 20 miles a day, they don't rack up quick.

Well, the ACL is repairable...the vertebrae not so much...but if he is young he will heal...maybe a bit of a time before humping the camel toe but you can ride it out...:icon_rofl:

The face sunburn would be a concern...are you sure it wasn't wind burn? Just throw some aloe vera on it and you might avoid the peel...use real aloe though...the creams sold in the drug stores don't contain enough...buy an aloe plant and find a juicy stalk and just break it off and rub it on your face...amazing what that juice can do for skin...

Glad you had fun though...nothing like being young...:icon_bounceblue:

It's amazing how youth always over-rides wisdom :yahoo:

(But later on, Wisdom sneaks up on you....and spares your body from more damage :headbang: )

Around when is this supposed to happen?
Sounds like it hasn't happened to you yet.....you'll notice the symptoms...vomiting your guts out isn't nearly as much fun as it once was/smoking the back tires off your vehicle actually COSTS you money now/you start thinking about the pain from taking the dare-- rather than the Manly Status from surviving the dare/you realize that you could have done something better with that money that you paid the Dr. bill with/hitting ANYTHING at 60mph makes your eyes tear up instead of laffing your *** off.

As for an actual age that it happens......30.......any older than that---your storing up a lot of misery for your "Golden Years" ;missingteeth;

Sometimes sooner...I think pain avoidance is the first step towards wisdom...we have memories for a reason...the main one being when something hurts us we remember it for a long, long time...

Like the time, just about when I thought I was invincible, well I can put about ten for instances at the back of that one...but I won't...because I'm older I often think young people want to listen so they will learn...I've since learned, and remember, that listening to old codgers talking about their war wounds makes their young people think "so, screw off and die already because..."

I didn't actually think that...too often...unless it was one of those old fogies that try to brow beat you with their wisdom...like me...lol

The only one I still have a problem with.... I know it costs money, but I still do it. Maybe not as much anymore.

I try not to... but it's kind of a reflex. If I'm at a stop light and I see another truck pull up next to me... oh you know for a FACT there will be reving, burning rubber, squealling (not from me....), smoke, and pedal to the floor. lol :thefinger:
