Hi, I'm new to forum and need some help if possible. I just purchased a 99 Ranger, 2.5L engine with automatic transmission (I believe a 4R44E). The problem only occurs when the engine is cold. When stopping at a stop sign the transmission downshifts hard. I changed the filter and trans fluid and now it upshifts hard from 1st to 2nd sometimes, once again, only when cold The downshift problem did not go away either. When warm everything is fine. Any ideas?
Thanks
