Does anyone have a step by step possibly with pictures and all of changing out the 5th and reverse synchronizer, In the Navy, and it has been forever since I worked on a manual transmission, just lost my sister to cancer and I paid the funeral bill, am tight for cash, I have the tools and have the Haynes and Chilton Manuals, but might as well be reading a curious george book for getting this done. Any and all help is appreciated. Why is this Navy guy riding around in such and old truck? well one son in college the other is junior in high school, starts senior year this august. Besides I love this truck, might trade a kid in for it! nah, keeping them all!:headbang:

Back home. I tell you I got talking to my little brother who I taught all about working on chevy's, he is ten years younger, he said well isn't that a hydraulic clutch? did you check the fluid under the hood? So slap me silly! Sure enough, put some Dot 3, pump the pedal, can squeal them tires in revers and the first two gears again! He has brought me my joy back

Glad to hear!
The first time I checked a fluid clutch system, I didn't know there was a gasket that could get sucked down tight into the master. I filled with fluid and couldn't get the stupid thing to bleed. I spent a day and a half until a buddy visiting told me about the gasket.
