Im pretty sure i need either the resistor or relay for my blower motor. Would a regular parts store carry these? Or do you guys think i should just find a junkyard one? Actually, while i am on the topic of locating parts, where could i locate an evap purge solenoid? I got one junkyard one but whaddya know, it doesnt work. BTW, the truck is a 97 4.0, thanks!!

Along the lines of the fan blower resistor, where exactly on the truck is this part located?

It is usually located behind the glove box.

The resistor is under the hood, in the heater box, next to the blower motor, by where the A/C lines go in.

The relay is in the relay/ fuse box, under the hood, on the left inner fender.

And I'm pretty sure the purge solenoid is towards the front left corner of the engine compartment. If not find the carbon canister and follow the lines coming from it.

Any auto parts store will almost always have all these parts in stock.

Thanks again, i ended up just grinding the corrosion off of one of the contacts on my relay and the blower works fine now, i didnt even need a new one. The purge solenoid is next on my list though!
