so i have a 99 ranger thats a 2.5 that has 202k miles on it, and i spun a bearing, i have a couple questions for anybody who sees this, ive heard the 2.5 engine and the 3.0 share the same motor mounts and same mounting location to the frame, i know they share the same trans which is the 4r44e...

I have a 99 ranger with 4r44e auto transmission in it... this is the 4th transmission that has been put into it. none of the transmissions pumped fluid out the lines to the cooler. blew air thru lines and cooler to make sure they are not plugged. what else could this be??? any kind of solenoid...

so I put a new trans in my 99 ranger. everything went together pretty good and fluid is full....or so the dipstick says..( checked w/engine running) put truck into gear and nothing... pulled the 2 lines off that run to the trans cooler... not pumping... I did fill the TC before the trans...

I've been told my timing pointer is broken off. I had to replace the distributor after the gear was worn and it shut off on the highway. Trying to find 10 degrees BTDC and wire brushed the harmonic balancer so I can see TDC 0, 10, 20, 30 BTDC numbers and lines. Just don't see a thing to line...

so I have to replace the auto trans in my 99 ranger 3.0 the truck originally had the 4r44e in it I found a guy parting out a 97 ranger with a 3.0 and auto trans. how do I figure out if its got the 4r44e in it? and can someone send me a list of all the years that the 4r44e came stock? :dunno:
