Aaaand just as my suspicions lead me to believe, the old girl needs a clutch. So Luk heavy duty with a new flywheel on the way. Looks like she’s going to go under the knife for the engine swap sooner than I thought. :nopityA:

Probably be about as far as I get this week. Had a dowel stuck in the bell housing and I lost an hour and a half running to town for an 18mm box end. I’ll update this post later today.

EDIT: I got farther than I thought. It runs and has coolant in it as well as some exhaust… kind of. I need to pick up an O2 sensor and make a flange for the cat.

Had it stabbed and sitting in the truck and realized I had forgot to pull the dowel that got stuck in the bell housing.
Tacked a bolt to the dowel and hit it with the slide hammer.

Fruits of today’s labor I suppose.

What muffler you running with the headers? Sounds great, you take it on the road yet to see if it drones?

It’s a thrush welded with one catalytic converter in front of it. 2.5” pipe. No drone and honestly can barely hear it in the cab. I’ve put about 40 miles on it since I first fired it up.

Ive had one of those in my save for late on Amazon for awhile. I might have to order it and see how it sounds.

I think we have the same headers so I bet it sounds very similar. The cat really kills the droning and a lot of the noise.

Thank you sir and thank you for your service. It has changed directions quite a few times since I got it back.

I'm pretty sold on the Thrush Welded mufflers, been running one on my turbo ranger for many years and it's served me well, have had to weld it back together a few times but that's not the mufflers fault, it's the 5' between supports...

I’ve welded a couple of them back together. One from my buddies old Durango and the one on my truck. You really can’t beat this muffler for the price.

Did the ‘06+ mirror swap today. Local yard had them for $25 a piece. I only took one picture.

I frickin love these mirrors. Although, anything is an improvement over mirrors that don’t stay where you put them.
