^^^check the original cap and rotor, they may have given you the wrong ones or I have seen new bad ones.

My guess is the wires are in the wrong order.
Folks not familiar will some times line them up on the cap from 1-6 from what they find out is the number one piston. I have seen it a thousand times. They think that because it looks orderly that way it has to be right compared to the twisted mess of a correctly wired cap.

May not be at all what happened here but thats my guess.

Thanks for all your help.
Just need some fresh ideas since i have been working every day for almost 3 weeks. and every one knows how it feels to get frustrated with something to the point of just saying f**** it and pull it out and start over with some thing else.

put on old cap and if it ain't so it runs again. But runs a lot better than it did before i changed the rotor and cap.

I would say you had loose wires and carbon build up on the cap poles and button to start with that got knocked off or cleaned off when you changed it out for new.
If you installed the wires correctly on the new cap then you either have a bad cap or a bad button OR the incorrect cap and button.

Probably just the firing order. I would pull them all out again and try it over..Makes it easier to route anyway...

Also, this might sound dumb but did you seat the rotor correctly?
