Like the look for sure. Got a good bit of wiring to do once supplies come in!! Let me know you're thoughts. Have to run through the roof (most likely) and a decent gauge wire (14) as I'm going to be pulling approx 13 amps with all of them on.

You're gonna have aircraft and UFOs following you with that lighting setup! :ROFLMAO:

I REALLY like the round LED headlight conversion that @Jim Oaks did on his '84 and copied it exactly. Along with the AOR bumpers it's my favorite mod so far!

I think you need a couple more lights...

That Hi-po 2.9L is likely able to out run those...
I'll see if I can find room for a few more!! Hey it's what work carries I get them at cost and that's what fit. Not quite 14 amps across all of them so hey... More about looks than high speed desert racing. Hope to get them wired this weekend. Except I just bought a new project to compliment the Bii/Super duty for camping adventures and it's going to be a DOOZY!!!
Say hello to a wood working project!

1970's-80's 8' slide in camper. No clue make or anything but I know it'll fit in my F250 and be great for a long weekend.

After I spend a year of free time and several thousand dollars...

That camper is gonna be a project.

The price on new ones are ridiculous.

A new Capri base price was roughly $18k I snagged this for $200 and a bottle of tequila... Worth the risk in my opinion.

@85_Ranger4x4

He knows a couple things about repairing these. He bought my old Skamper and did the roof on it.

Carefully remove the skins, measure the frame and build a new frame.

It's an iceberg thing. Whatever you can see its gonna be 10x worse once you get it opened up. I see lots of water damage, mold and buckling walls.

@85_Ranger4x4 what your telling me is there is no chance of leaving skins and rebuilding from the inside..?

The chances are not great... but I won't say there isn't a chance.

Do wear a good mask though.

Trailers and campers are built odd. They built the floor including lino flooring. Then they build the walls including cabinets. Then the finished roof is lowered down on top and fastened somehow. If you try to fix from inside you can't get at all the pieces to replace. The one you have is probably useful for fridge and stove only, but you will have to dig a bit to determine how much rot is in there. I rebuilt a 12' camper. I spent 500 on parts. Had some aluminum of my own and a brake to bend it. Spent several days fulltime working on it, at least 40 hours. Was it worth it? Not really. But I did use it and was able to sell it several years later for 750.
Pics of the repair are on a different hard drive. Probably won't find them to post.

And they really are not built to be repaired...
