Hello everyone, I found today that my speed sensor is broken into pieces, I found it hanging from the wires, I noticed that the speedometer cable is missing, is the speedometer cable present on 95s, or is it electronic?. If the cable is present, how should I route it?.

Cheers.

1994 was last model year Ranger with speedometer cable
1995 and up used electronic speedometer/odometer in the dash

Late 1980's to 1994 used both speedo cable AND VSS(vehicle speed sensor)
Speedo cable was only used for speedometer/odometer
VSS was used by cruise control, 4WD and computer

The speedometer cable/VSS gear setup on trans or transfer case was used thru 1997.
In 1998 Rear Axle VSS was used

No you do not need speedometer cable on a 1995, you do need to replace that unit that has the old speedo cable hook up, whole unit just pulls out after 1 bolt and fork is removed that holds it in place
