2001 duratec 2.3 out ohv 4.0 in?

Has anybody done this swap? I've been searching for weeks all over the ineternet, and I can't find anything. HELP

So here's the whole story, I had the 2.5L from my 1998 just sitting. My wife's cousin killed his 01 with the 2.3 duratec. I picked up that truck for $500. Thinking I could swap the 2.5 in. WRONG. So in my search for a new 2.3, I stumbled across a 1999 explorer sport. That's driveable. But it's a busted up pile of crap. I have no need for an exploder. And the idea is pull the ohv 4.0, the auto trans and the 8.8 (with rear disc) and put them in the 01. And daily the crap out of it.

I don't see why it would be that difficult seeing as how you have the donor right beside the donee. Swap out the motor/trans/transfer case and computer/wiring and don't forget the pats if needed. Of course this advice is coming from someone that's never done that swap....

That is the plan. Just figured finding some one who had done it, might be helpful.
