I have a problem with excessive water getting inside the doors. I changed the door glass squeegees thought this would help but it didn't. I noticed this truck only has one little plastic grill on the door for a drain. it's clear. A little water in the door is normal but these doors get 1/4 to 1/2 way up the inside of the doors. Any ideas? Is this a common issue with these Rangers. My '88 doesn't do this!

No, not common. Check that the drains aren't plugged

Add another drain hole, there are often plugs already there that can be remove.

Is it normal, no, does it happen, yes, not a Ford or even Ranger issues, water is getting in if door had water in it, I know duh, you just haven't found where it is getting in.

Window could be pulling away from outside lower seal when fully rolled up, could be just at one end, that will let alot of water in if rain is heavy.
The window tracks are adjustable.

Have you pulled the door panel and looked in there. There are three (I think) drains in the bottom of the door. If you lay on the ground and look at the bottom of the door you can see them. If they are plugged the door could fill to the vent and then it would run out the back of the door or into the cab.

But, you do need to fix the reason the water is getting in there.
