2wd and 4wd body parts interchangeable?

Anyone know if body parts like the header panel and grille from a 2wd truck would interchange with a 4wd truck?

They will be the same. The difference's are in the suspension.

Some of the third gens had grilles that had "4x4" molded into one corner, thats the only difference though.

I have a very similar question so I hope it's okay to resurrect this thread -- I'd like to swap my 4X4's bed and front fenders (with the factory plastic flares) for bed/fenders from a 2x4 that had no factory plastic flares. Do you guys see any issues there? Local scrapyard is parting one out with the same paint code.

Also, are the front fenders/quarter panels held on by anything else but fasteners? Any cutting/welding required to replace them?
