I'm doing an 8.8 swap soon and I was wondering what size the bolts are that screw the diff cover the the pumpkin. I know they're 5/16" with an 18in thread but what length? I'm also using a ruffstuff diff cover so I'm assuming the bolts will have to be a little longer? Is this correct? Or can anyone tell me what length I need? Thanks.

Fool...

The hardware store will be way cheaper than Summit.

As far as the length... Dunno its been years since I did the IRS cover swap to my 8.8, which had different bolts anyway.

Thickness of flange + 1/2" = length needed.

Just go to Lowes or TSC.

take one out, go to hardware store, match size and threads, get longer bolt to clear the ruffstuff cover. done deal. those are the exact steps i took to solve this very problem when i had it. ps, youll love the ruffstuff cover.

They are 5/16-18. So there is no need to pull one..........

Home depot hooked me up with 10 grade 8 for 4 bucks. And I didn't have the stock bolts to begin with, so I couldn't take one out. Unfortunately, I had to get inch long ones, not 7/8". Nothing a saw can't handle, if that's even enough to worry about.
