I'm with @Bird76Mojo ... that SOHC should work really well in there.

That's a pretty clean looking truck... Do I see some Airlift bags on the rear?

Are the brake and clutch pedals kinda wonky or am I seeing things wrong?

Yes has rear air bags came installed when I got the truck. It was a work in progress the guy bailed on. The interior was pretty much gutted so every thing will need to be installed. Cheers Al

Hi All just thought I'd send an update on the 4.0 Sohc swap. Progress is slow but installed new clutch and reinstalled trany and transfer case . I had to make a plate for the transmission to cross member to install transmission mount. Back as far as I could go on the right side engine mount so ended up being 1/2 shy of it dropping in. Pick up a transmission cross member from Tasca parts fit was perfect . PXL_20210502_203958647.jpgPXL_20210423_225805741.jpgcheers everyone

First time I seen this in a b2, the guy cut part of the firewall and used an section of the donor explorer firewall and the whole explorer dash and hvac...no body lift....that was 2002 or so.

Some time after that he did a 32 valve aviator swap....same bronco....had to throw all the hvac stuff away and redo firewall again.. 😆....funny.

Wow that's alot of work and time who ever started the one I have also replaced sections of the firewall particularly to accommodate brake booster and such. When I get it finished I won't be taking it apart again lol

And it's not bad. It's pretty easy on the later trucks to go over rail with steering and move the booster and steering shaft 2 inches....then it's wide open.

I would think it was part of the evap system. It probably ran to the charcoal cannister originally. Then the engine used the fuel fumes under light throttle cruising to decrease emissions.

Thanks for the reply Mojo I agree with that and after a little more investigation it appears that most of the evap parts I need for the 4.0 are not here. I guess the previous guy was going to eliminate. Back to the auto Wreckers lol
