In the list for tomorrow is to prime and seal the cutouts for the fender flairs. Put the front bumper back to gether and start the truck lol. It's been so long since I have heard it run.

Thanks I seen the progress on your motor swap. That's looking good too.
Thanks. It was cruising right along until I tried to put the Y-pipe in and found it didn't fit.

Well I'm hoping this weekend I'm going to take her for a test drive but getting it out of the garage is going to be a trick. I think I am a tad bit taller than the door is so I might have to air down the tires.

So I figured that I would give you guys an update on what I have been up too. I haven't got to work on the ranger in about 5 weeks now but I have been very busy building my house.

And of course the garage.

And the garage is actually about done I just have been too lazy to take new pics lol. Will try to keep you guys posted. But obviously all of this took priority over the time and mostly the money that I had to work on the ranger.

When out and toyed with the ranger for a few min the other night. Fixed a vacumme leak and relished that I lost my gas cap. Fixed a brake leak as well where I hadn't tightened the line. Sand blasted the rear bumper and sanded the grill. But still have a large todo list. Maybe 3 weeks from now I will have some time to start to put it back together.

I will get some more pics latter and some of me replacing the line.

Ok long time no update but.......... The rangers runs and drives. I got the brakes sorted out and the rear fixed. Also the ranger is in the new garage. That was also a bit of the hold up. I had to move and work on the new house. Lol do that meant less time for the ranger. Here are some pics I snapped in the garage. I was going to bless the brakes again tomorrow and then take it for a spin and snap a few more pics. Needs an alignment really bad though lol.

Took the ranger out for a test drive this morning. Feels good deff could use a bit more power but re-gearing it might help that some. And it deff needs a good alignment. The toe is all over the place.
Also maybe someone can answer this for me but what is a steering stabilizer exactly supposed to help with?

I have heard people call steering stabilizers a band-aid for a problem (they don't do much, more show than go).
They are suppose to keep your steering wheel from shooting out of our hands if your tires are not hitting obstacles (like rocks or logs), on the trail, straight on.
With that said, I have had one both on my TTB and straight dana 44, and I think they help a little. It is nothing to get excited about though. They do look pretty cool! :icon_thumby:
Hope that helps

Stabilizers are a band-aid if you have anything smaller than 35s. Less than that and you should be able to take out all wobble and jump with alignment angles.
