WRONG Almost all car 9s used the 5x4.5 patternnone, they all have the 5x5.5 pattern.
if i had a 4wd ranger i would consider it but it is a 2wd so im just looking for a beefier rear axle.Yes some cars did have the smaller pattern. Generally you will find the normal 5x5x5 pattern. If you really desire you can have the shaft redrilled to the smaller pattern or just order a set of axles with the smaller pattern. The pattern isn't really that big of a deal, the best option would be to leave it as is, so if you swap a fullsize axle or if you keep the D35 swap D44 knuckles and such on to achieve the fullsize pattern there. You will get a better bearing and hub configuration as well.
