Hey guys,
Just picked up a 92 stx ex cab 4.0 5-speed 4x4. I love this truck. Quite a bit faster than my 83 diesel. I have a problem of, upon startup in the morning it will start for me but idle at 400rpm. After warming up it will raise to 600 rpm. I found that at idle if I pull my new IAC connector off ( just replaced thought was problem )it does not do anything. This was the same issue with my old IAC as well. I have no KOEO codes but I do have a KOER code of 412. This is kind of weird but when I hooked up my meter to do the KOER test it asked me to turn the wheel and push the brake pedal a couple times and when it did that the rpm went up to 750 or so which was desired and after that it asked me to quickly blip the throttle and when I did that test was completed but it just about stalled and went back to the 500 rpm range. Where to go next I guess?? I would like to check the wiring but dont know what i need to see if its any good. By the way other than the low idle the truck runs pretty well and seems to have a good amount of power.
