92 explorer. shakes, sputters, and dies. after a long drive

everytime i go on a long drive after shutting the car off on turning it back on after 30 mins more or less. it will shake like hell and sputter when i put in drive, sometimes will die. but always will restart with the same symptoms. they will eventually go away. and the car will smooth out.

i have done the intake gaskets. only because i read a forum that said they werent torqued correctly from the factory. it was true for this one. all of the lower intake bolts were finger tight. no wrechs needed. while i was in it i cleaned all the fuel injectors by running b12 cemtool through them.

i replaced the fuel pump, fpr, haven't done the filter yet cause its not that old. the guy before just did it. so its only got a few years on it.

basic tune up, plugs and wires. i did the tps for shits and giggles. air filter. o2 sensor. gutted the cats cuz theres no emission where i live and im sure they were getting clogged up.

so im not sure where this problem is coming from. fuel pressure is right where it needs to be running and not running.

need some extra help on this one

what happens if you stop at a gas station and put fuel in?

i had a fuel pump that would i assume get hot, once i put fuel in it cooled down and would run fine again. i had similiar symptoms.

same thing. it just shakes or sputters until it smooths out.

You're wrong on the no emissions. Just because they don't do the tailpipe sniffer doesn't mean that the Federal law that it has to have functioning cats doesn't apply.

As far as your problem, is it throwing any check engine lights? Are the injectors firing when this happens? (I would use a mechanics stethoscope to listen to them when it's not running right to see if one is failing to cycle). Check your ground wires too, a corroded ground can cause all sorts of weird issues.

reach search cedar city ut. they dont check emissions here. they dont care for check engine lights that are on. you can run open headers here. they will always let you register you car.

any how. no check engine lights, im pretty sure they are firing. some times i dont have time to be able to check them as you know the drivers side is kinda a pain to get to in hurry. i know of few grounds i need to tend to. i will do the grounds and try my best to get to all the injectors while this issue is happing
