I have a 99 4.0 ranger that I have recently done a m5od-r1 swap in. When I was getting parts for the swap I went ahead and got the ecu for the manual tranny as well.
I swapped out trannys, jumped the NSS and hooked up the clutch assembly etc etc... Then I swaped in the manual ecu.
The truck wouldn't start! After crossing my t's and dotting my I's I decided to swap the stock auto ecu back in it.
Truck fired right up!
NOW MY ISSUE.
Tranny is working like it should but I have this strange miss at low rpms after I shift gears. I have given the truck a tune up (oil, plugs, filters, wires) but it still happening.
Anyone here have some experience with this? I'm thinking I need to reprogram my stock ecu for the manual tranny. But any other thoughts would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks.
