This truck came with a 3" body lift on it when I got it. It caused the intake tube to interfere with the fan shroud. I installed an electric fan last night and now it is even worse because of the bracket that holds the fan. Has anyone encountered this problem? Is there a way to modify the intake tube to solve this or should I just leave it. You really have to fight the sucker to get it on there.

There is also a 1/2" gap between the fan and the radiator. The fan has a nice gasket that I am guessing is supposed to seal against the radiator. Should I shim it a little closer with some washers?

The body lift should have came with drop brackets to lower the radiator 3". I just finished mine without any issues. Performance accessories should have the drop brackets, or you can just make your own it's just a piece of 3/16 steel with a hole at both ends to lower the connection point. That will solve your problem.

Thats good thinking. I will try lowering the radiator. That was one of the reasons I did the electric fan. The mechanical fan didn't line up with the shroud or radiator anymore.

That should all line up perfectly when you drop the radiator down. Super easy fix and all your problems will be solved.
