Money

A B2 Stealth Bomber has liquid nitrogen cooled exhaust so heat seeking radar can't see the exhaust. But again, for us common folks, that's cost prohibitive.

My vote is for side pipes.. :woot:

Leaf blower to clean out the bed. Otherwise I can't get all the crap under the toolbox, bedliner or not.

My credo
19K, 19D, 92Y, 88M, 91F....OIF-III (2004-2005)
I'd get the spray on Rhino Liner or Line-X. Those plastic drop in liners will over time destroy your truck bed as debris get in between the liner and bed. Had a camper shell on my 88 F250 with the drop in plastic liner, guess what it still got scrap between the bed and liner and started rusting the bed in a few places, I finally threw that liner away.

The Rhino Liner or Line-X is great and it'll be easy to just wash out after using the truck bed for dirty chores. I had the bed of my 08 Toyota Tundra Rhino Lined right after I bought the truck, then had a camper shell installed on it. The camper shell for the price I wasn't impressed, it leaked all over the sides unlike any other camper shell I've had...was far from impressed with Century's fit and finish and the ridiculous price they charge for them. Should have bought an ARE I guess, they seem to have much better fit and much more features....note to self for the future, go with ARE LOL.

I have no experience with the Line-X company, but Rhino Linings did a great job on the install of the spray on lining in my 08 Tundra, and it would keep stuff where you set it in the bed, the lining has some what of a rubber texture to it, so stuff don't slide around....its good to keep stuff from sliding, it has somewhat of a rough texture of course, so sweeping out the truck bed might not be as easy as it would without a liner, but it quickly washes out which is what I did with my Tundra after using it to haul dirt, gravel, firewood, etc. I found it was quicker to just hose it down anyways than trying to sweep stuff out.

The plastic liner on my truck has been there for 12 years and there's not a spot of rust under it.

My ''new'' white 07 Ranger is in the shop getting a couple dents fixed. Before taking it to the body shop l took the drop in over rail one out. l found a couple surprises that are being dealt with. l decided after the drop in removal on a spray in liner. l have now decided it will be COLOR MATCHED to the rest of the bed. lf l need to haul a load dirt l will insert the drop in liner to the bed. Looking at these spray in liners l think they are great

I had a Rhino in the Ranger and have a generic Line-X in the current truck. I use a leaf blower to blow out the bed after hauling yard waste to the county dump. I replaced the factory plastic liner in both cases.

Mine came with the factory liner. I have always put rubber bed mats in all my trucks. Haven't hauled anything in it yet but in the summer I bag the lawnmower and haul grass clippings to the dump every week. The ridges are kind of deep but it looks like it will hose out pretty easy. Agree the spray-on liners are like sandpaper and probably not ideal for my needs. Factory liner does not seem to have pockets for boards. I already miss the bed extender that my Sport Tracs had, not so much to extend the bed but when it's folded in it keeps stuff like groceries in the back where you can reach it and not sliding to the front. Ford Accessories has a Lund bed extender. On the factory option list the extender is not available with the bed liner. I don't know if a hole saw to the liner for the pivot pins would make it work but I don't see why not.

I just went over to Harbor Freight and got one of their ratcheting load bars. They keep most things from rolling around and are a lot cheaper if you don’t need a bed extender.

I put drop in Ford Duraliners in my 04 and 11 when I bought them new and I have one in the 93 I now drive(in the summer). The 04 and 11 both had fiberglass caps as well, they're not called toppers here. We used to sell a pile of bedliners and we only charged $25 for installation but we'd always clean the bed and not drop the liner on top of dirt, snow, leaves, or such and we never had a problem with rust. We had some spray in liners installed and the landscaping guys would wear them off and expose steel. There's a shop in Canaan that does spray in liners and does the best job I've seen. They remove the bed bolts first so someone needing to remove the box doesn't have to chisel into the liner.

Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
I have a bedliner with a topper. Bedliner is under the rail except for the front of the bed. It goes over the lip. The topper fits good and snug but because of the front lip on the bedliner water gets inside. There is a padded board on the floor and it will be going in the trash. I will be taking the topper off and liner out just to inspect the bed for rust. I really don't expect to find anything (more hopeful) but want to make sure before keeping the topper on.

There should be cap tape between the cap and bed that would fill any gaps. It never hurts to check anyway.
