I built a 85 ranger 4x4 V8 before. this site was very helpful. times got tough and I had to sell it. kickin my self ever since. but now I have the chance to build another V8 ranger so I thought id get into the forum this time. hopefully I can build it better then before. any insight that's not in the tech pages would be helpful. I also plan to actually take pics this time and try to document everything this time around. as soon as I finish building the motor, I will start a thread and post pics there as I go along.
Thanks for havin me on this site. I hope to build on my knowledge and learn from the guys who have done this more then once.

Robby.

just a stock 302 sbf for now. picked up the short block free. needed new rings and bearings. and got a set of stock heads with new vales, 3 angle valve job and springs from a customer that decided to go with aluminum heads on his mustang. so I have about $120 in the motor including the gasket kit. so im off to a great start. still looking for an AOD trans then ill start striping the 93 ranger (that I got for free, customer got tired of putting money into it. lol) And I have an 8.8 rear from an explorer. 31 spline, limited slip, rear disc brakes. that customer wants a 4.0l swap into his 92 ranger, so I got the axle for FREE. so I thought, why not build another V8 ranger?
