Has anyone ever blown the intake manafold gaskets at the heads?

Mine blew the coolant ports in front and back. its wierd the temp has never gone over the half mark untill the gaskets blew.

What would cause this?

Thanks...

The combination of heat and cooling cycles could over time cause the gasket to get a little loose and not be able to withstand the 15 pound pressure of the coolant.
Also if the head and intake are of two different products...such as plastic intake and iron head... the two will expand and contract at two different amounts.. this too could cause wear on the gasket.
Then there are the very small leaks ANYWHERE in the system that occur from time to time and aren't noticed in time. These small leaks cause an air pocket in the head which causes the head to heat up beyond specifications.. This isn't "seen" by the coolant temp sender and that heat can cause the gasket failure you asked about..

Thank you, when you break it down like that it makes sence.
