Well i lifted my truck with a 3" Bl and a 4" Rough Country Suspension, for a total of 7". I asked for some feedback about brake lines being an issue and everyone said id be cool. Its not that way in my case, i cant even mount my calipers back on because there isnt enough slack. I know there is a brake line upgrade from an f-350? What parts do i need to do this, i need to get my truck back on the road ASAP. Has anyone who has done this just bought the parts from an auto store, or is there a kit for our trucks, or what???!?!? Someone please help me.
Thanks,
Shawn

These are the hoses i'm running on my ranger (6" suspension)

These hoses are 26" long:

Raybestos part numbers:
BH 38622
BH 38623

There are 2 numbers because there is a right and left side

Perfect hose and only like 20 bucks each.

I like the stainless steel lines I got from James Duff. My pedal is A LOT firmer than before. I paid $92 shipped for both front and rear.

i've had both james duff and skyjacker lines and the earls brand that duff sells is lesser quality

Yeah, there's no way in hell they'll reach with more than 2" of lift (some say you can drop the stock hardlines down with lowering brackets, but that's a bit hack IMO. Replacement of the hoses is really the proper way to do it).

I run the Skyjacker lines myself and was impressed with the quality of them compared to others I've seen.

I had the Skyjacker stainless lines and had both break at the fitting during normal driving, I don't think the stainless fittings like the constant flexing, hence why I went back to rubber lines.

do you have any support brackets for the line?i bolted a tab on the coil to keep the line from getting kinked, snagged or smashed in the coil

I have the skyjacker stainless steel braided lines....I love them. Just make sure you use zip ties to hold the brake line to the coil so it doesnt come in contact with the tire or any other moving parts.

I had them attached to the coils so they were out of harms way, they both gave out after about a year and a half.

Hmmm... Mine have held up perfect for 10 years now (Ranger), 3 years on the BII. :icon_confused:

Was there enough slack on them? (older versions you had to grind a corner of the banjo fitting to position them properly)

There was more than enough slack in them, I bought them with my 6" coils from skyjacker, plus I dont have extended arms. Both failed where the braided line meets the solid fitting at the coil bucket.

Do you know which part number is for the driver's side?
