It's a 2001 2wd Edge. Replaced the rotors, pads, calipers and caliper brackets. The ABS sensor came on after the new parts were installed and a few miles were put on so we pulled the rotor off to check it out. This is when we discovered that the pads are wearing on the very top on the outside and the very bottom on the inside.
It's hard to see in the pics but the first one is tight at the top and loose at the bottom and in the second picture you can see there is a gap between the pad and the rotor at the top.
When the brake is appiled it looks as if the caliper assembly is rotating up, causing the uneven wearing of the pads. Now the brake pedal goes right to the floor but the brakes were bleed and we did them again to make sure. Could it be that the master cylinder is shot, and that there's not enough pressure to push the pads evenly to the rotor?
