also check the rubber hose on the sending unit, and check for cracks on the inside that may let the fuel leak out before it hits the line, also is the BII fuel pump a high pressure pump or a low pressure pump like the one in my 88 ranger that needs the high fuel pump on the rail.

I'm not sure how to check the fuel regulator, I can't remember if the vacuum hose close's it down or opens it up...

Shit forgot about the pumps. Isnt it on the b2, the tank pump is the low pressure one and the high pressure is on the rail? So I need a 89+ b2 pump. Right??

yep, you need a 89+ pump, or a rail pump.

Couldn't find the wiring schematics for the gauge cluster so I went to the library and found this sweet book that has everything for the explorer.

Still cannot find anything for the bronco though. The link in the library is broken.

Fixed part of the exhaust where it was rusted threw.

Also got a few parts of the floor fixed. First time ever welding sheet metal.

Realized today that the driver side header is cold while the passenger side is HOT! so something is going on somewhere, which would probably explain why it wont idle. My friend shut the truck off when he noticed this....

This is the cat right before it meets the muffler

Also what is everyone using on their 4.0 swap for the exhaust. The cat extends a lot further back and the muffler sits entirely to close to the driveshaft. I'm using all 4.0 exhaust parts currently.

(all the welding is with a Hobart 140 still using fluxcore, So they don't look the best if you where wondering)

Coming together! It looks good. Glad to see someone else using a little fluxcore to weld in those panels. It's what I'm doing too. Roll pan was cake but I'm worried about the fenders I need to weld in.

Yeah, it doesn't do a bad job at sheet metal. With this machine It burns in pretty good without burning threw. Now with the pos HF one, forget that. Still got alot to do on the floors then comes the firewall.

Got the firewall and toe boards completed and gutted the explorer wiring all the way to the tail lights. Pulled the front half of the carpet and got bronco torn down interior wise. Gotta a few sections to finish welding in the rear.

Need help with this exhaust turning red just like the last one.

What the hells the problem. Need to get this figured out. Ill have all the interior wiring done tomorrow besides a few on the dash and I need to start driving this again.

Still not driving the bronco yet. I've got all the wiring on the dash except the cluster which I haven't really messed with yet. trying to get the motor running good first. got the equus 3145 to check these codes easily and with KOEO I just got some tranny codes for the automatic which means nothing with a manual in its place. With KOER I got code 136, which I believe since the left side of the exhaust ypipe would stay cold longer than the right. where should I go from here. Just pop a new o2 sensor and be done with it or.... I can gat 2 new ones for $50 at rockauto so its not a huge amount of money. need to get this engine running good so I can pull the motor up to replace the leaking oil pan gasket.

Get in touch with 4.0b2, he should know more about your problems. Or even disciplerocks. They both swapped 4.0's in their b2

Finally got some progress. Got the oil pan gasket replaced. For the 3rd time. Ended up putting a 93 in there and that stopped the leak. The 94 gasket leaked in the same place both time with brand felpro gaskets. I also installed the new e-fan which made a new issue. The stock intake won't fit with it in there. Just going to go to one of the part store and just build it myself. I already had the couplers in the pics.

Also on have a few wires left for the cluster and once the clusters done the rest of the interior can go back in. Finally getting somewhere!!
