im trying to get my 88 2.3 started up after its been sitting a couple yrs.ran good when i parked it. i tried firing it up but just rolls over.i put the code reader on and get a 52 power steering pressure switch -circut open or no changes detected no other codes.when i checked the switch it was rusted thru badly behind the wire plug in . i pulled switch apart and its rusted inside and is junk. my question is how important is this switch. will the code 52 in the computer be enough to not allow it to start?.will a truck start if wires to the psps are disconnected? any way to bypass it?its pouring rain now so i cant check for spark i hear the fuel pumps kick on.tommorow will be the only chance to work on getting it started for awhile.if i have spark and fuel could it be just the bad pressure switch keeping it from firing up? thanks for any help
