Nothing to do with rangers but it is Ford related. Friend has 1970 F600 diesel with Lucas-Girling hydromax brake system.
Shop manual cost more than he can afford. Info I gathered from big truck forums is enough to figure out how they work and identify major components. Can't find electrical diagrams or fluid pressure specs.
Anyone had pleasure of dealing with these crazy brakes before?

Is that the system thats basically manual brakes untill you really nail them then it gives you power assist?

Either you dont stop or you go through the windshield?

It's pump driven fluid over fluid boost that's great when works and royal pain in the butt when broke. Parts are $$$ too.

We also have sub forum sections for vehicles other than Ford Rangers. But checking in on a forum more dedicated to the vehicle in question might not be a bad idea.

My bad.
Got more pertinent information from Google than large truck forums and just wanted to see if anyone at rangerstation was familiar with LG Hydromax troubleshooting.
I will delete thread if that's possible.

Couldn't delete or move to different category. Guess that takes administrator privileges. ?? Just have to let fade away...

You are in the Ford Trucks and SUV sub forum. Good enough to me. Up to you on whether you want to let the thread die or not.

Members here have more than Rangers, Broncos, and Explorers. An F600 is a bit in the weeds for most but someone like @PetroleumJunkie412 might be able to help out. He has medium and heavy duty trucks.

Way out of my league. All of my stuff is air brakes. I've seen a few older ones like this still around, but know nothing about it.

I hadn't even looked till now, it just looks to me like an overblown 60s/70s brake system.
The trucks I worked on in the 70s and 80s mostly had the rollers
I really don't know a lot about it but it's just what I see in my little glimpse there
I used this to search:
