I use to have the old cardboard and vinyl door panels but they got worn out after taking off a couple times, so I decided to make my own. Switched the speakers from the dash to doors also.

think it would be too much to do a diamon plate door panel? would that rattle a ton or could you put some weather stripping behind each screw and anywhere else it contacts and be fine?

or would sound deadening the door just be better? i think it would look pretty sick. i've seen some jeeps and others with diamond plate accents and it looks realy nice. maybe if i did like yours but did diamond plate on just the lower 1 foot or something.

Diamond plate would be nice for about a week until you get sick of the sun reflecting into it and blinding you. Add the fact it's easier to Armorall than buffing!

I used 1/4" plywood and tap metal screwed it to the door. In between the plywood I used cotton spread the stuff for quilts, and gutter guard for the vent hole(couldn't think of nothing else), oh yeah and cut 2x4 4 the handle.
this was all cheap stuff I mostly had laying around.

Next time i'll have moms stitch the handles so they look cleaner but didn't think of that till i was done. Better then nothin though, everybody was always raggin on my doors.

the 1/16" crinkle finish abs plastic was $12 for a 4'x8' sheet, a stout pair of scissors will cut it (i say stout because i broke 2 weaker pairs in the process) yes those are the stock door handles, stock armrests, stock window cranks and stock plastic vents. those vents just have little metal tabs on the back so you just cut the hole, and then push them in and bend the tabs over on the back-side to hold them in
