- If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
So I've been thinking of the braking system in my 94 and other vehicles I've owned and was curious if they ever used a proportioning valve for the rear brakes on rangers and how it is triggered.
I was sitting here remembering building my 86 Toyota pickup and had to ask my brother what the rod was for going from the axle, actually the proportioning valve but didn't know what it was at the time, to the frame. I was in high school and just learning but they were teaching 93 and newer tech at the time so I had no clue to what it was and why it was there. He explained what it was and why it was needed but thinking of my 94 Rangers brake system there is no proportioning valve there for when you have a load in the bed which got me thinking and wondering if they ever had one and how they trigger it.
