Where is the dinger in my 1991 ranger? It made my battery almost go dead. I have fixed the door switch i think, but the dinger is so quiet when it goes off you can barely hear it...is there like a volume on it? if so where...if not where is the dinger so i can fix the problem

on my 94 (same interior as my 91) it was under the middle of the dash, pretty much right next to the gas pedal. theres a box under there with a harness plugging into it. take the box out and open it up, the dinger is a cylinder about 1" around and 1/2-34/" tall, take a flat screwdriver and pop it off the circuit board. idk what the rest of the box did so i plugged it back in and now nomore dinger.:D:icon_thumby:

Do you have to dismantle the dash at all to get to it? or is it just right by the pedal kinda?
