We are working on a 1996 2wd auto with a locked up 3.0 from low oil. Our replacement motor is a 1994 3.0 from a van (astar I assume).
We've got the locked up motor out and on the cherry picker. The replacement is on the engine stand.
I assume if we swap out the oil pan, ignition, motor mounts, and brackets this motor will work?
Are there any how-to guides to follow or has anyone documented a previous quest?
If not what should we look out for? IE: Pitfalls
There is no place for the crank trigger to mount on the 94 motor. Do we swap the timing cover?
