but my baby hurts. Just started slipping off idle. All was good then turning at a light tranny slipped, now have to give more throttle input to get it to go. Shifts fine through the gears while moving only problem is slipping off idle. Is it done?

It may just need a band adjustment. The A4LD had two bands, a Low/Reverse and a OD band that both required periodic adjustment is I recall correctly.

If I'm right, a L/R band that needs adjusting could cause your issue. I'll pull up the on-line shop manuals a bit later when I have more time and see what I can find.

Dropped the pan and changed the filter. Im guessing it was the original. Fluid was real dirty. Didnt really help much. So I checked vacuum, that was good but there was a lot of fluid in the vacuum line at the modulator. If I remember correct that is bad so I changed the modulator. Same same.

fixed

Got it. I completely forgot about resetting the computer after working on it. It must have thrown a code and my CEL is burnt out so I didnt see it. The modulator fixed it and its running like a champ.:icon_cheers:I just noticed the CEL doesnt come on when I hit the key.
