I just bought an 84 ranger 2.8 with dual fuel tanks, I'm assuming the front one is a 17 gallon and the rear? Does anyone know? I've read that it's a 10, I've also read that it's a 13. I guess I'll find out when I start driving it, but I'm curious.

I have always seen 13 as the number for the aft tank.

The front tank's capacity will vary by bed length. Cab type also plays a role, but there was only the regular cab in 84. Long bed should have a 17, I think a short bed was only 15.
